I'm taking nominations. I especially dig that free form jam they do before they bust back into it.....

thanks in advance

04-22-1978 is the best version...(maybe it's 04-24-1978, I'll have to check :P) ...one of the shows has the best Wharf Rat, the other has the best Music Never Stopped...

check out 04-05-1993 for a terrific 90s version...also 04-05 is one of the best first sets of the "Welnick" era...great Deal and Black Throated Wind, as well...

9-28-75 GG park. One of those shows where the audience tape blows away the sbd. This show also has my favorite Franklins

2-20-95 That's right, 95. I saw my last show in 92 so this isn't out of any fondness for 95. In fact, I don't find much redeeming from that year period BUT this is an exception. This version GROWLS atcha!

Count another for 12-28-79. Also has an excellent Sugaree to kick things off. Check it out!

My fave is 5/13/78 - a screamer!

For a big, spacy jam before the final rave-up, 8/1/94 and 6/26/94 do the trick.

The best I've found for the time period is 12/30/86 - And it comes after a Dough Knees to end the first set, highly unusual. Glad someone pushed them along because the final jam had to be the most fierce in '86.

BTW - MNS is one of my favorite show openers.

I still like the 8/13/75 version the best.
